No date, probably circa 1947. The American Weekly was published from 1896 to 1966.
I've had the yellow Aunt Grace Friends Hawaiian print since 2005; I actually had it before I got this pattern and was looking for just the right project for it. This will have green facings and probably red rick-rack. In for a penny, in for a pound, right?
I'm leaving off the bow, and the pocket, it turns out, is a rather undersized patch pocket. I'll be changing to larger, set-in-seam pockets like the ones on Marian Martin 9359; one pocket on each side. I haven't decided if the buttons will be green or red yet. I was thinking green. Or maybe green on the dress and red at the neckline (against the green facing).
