I finished the last sleeve support at lunch, so it's done! I just need a picture of me in it.
the sleeve supports are three layers of fabric, quilted together and bias-bound. I used scrap. Yeah, ugly, but why waste favorite dress fabric on something nobody will see?
The dress didn't call for shoulder pads, just the sleeve supports.
I sewed them to the seam allowance both along the top . . .
. . . and the underside. Those suckers aren't going anywhere!
You can't really tell the difference they make on the hanger, but I suspect they will be helpful when the dress is actually being worn.
