Simplicity 4727: Part XII

At long last--I'm wearing it!

Okay, I'm wearing the wearable muslin.   I finished it at 12:30 this morning, which means I'm running on about three hours of sleep.  Oh, and I'm coming down with a cold.  Gonna be a great weekend!

But . . . I'm wearing it!  I'm wearing it!

Oh, yeah--it's only about half a cold. Just enough to be slightly annoying. I'll be fine in a day or two.

I am so unspeakably glad this dress is done! Or at least, that I have the pattern figured out and I know it works. What a mess. But I did make it look more or less like the illustration, after all that.

The upside is all the skills you learned in wrestling that pattern to the ground. I'm still too daunted to go there, but I know if I want to grow, I'll have to slice and dice eventually.

The learning process is a pain but it's totally worth it to have that kind of control over your sewing.
