I got McCall's 5783 (1977) on eBay for a grand total of $3.50. This might be the perfect set of casual separates: Three useful pieces of clothing with no gimmicks. No clever but potentially troublesome stylistic quirks, just good, honest, straightforward boatman shirt, skirt, and pants. I love those pants, which is saying something because, in general, I hate pants. I hate the idea, even, of pants. But I might be willing to go to the trouble to try to make those pants fit.
The shirt might finally be the answer to the question of how to use the adorable but too modern dancing cats fabric. With red buttons.
