I got a DVD lat Christmas of the movie Alice's Restaurant (1969), which turned out to be both funnier and a lot more disturbing than I remembered, and which I still suspect contributed to the demise of my last romantic relationship. Oh, well. If he couldn't handle a little woozy Sixties drug culture, he wasn't going to last, anyway. It's a weird movie: I would say it's one of those movies that is not as good as people who love it think it is, but is also better in some ways than it maybe should be. I'm not sure how to explain that, though.
Anyway, there's a scene in which Alice wears a coral-colored dress with black embroidery. The scene itself involves an uncomfortable-to-watch screaming fit, but the dress is awesome.
