Extra-Crunchy Chex Mix

This one does not fall into the "healthy" category, but sometimes you have to have some fun.

You can double the recipe but it will make a horse-trough of mix.

2 1/2 cups wheat Chex (half a 14-ounce box = 550 calories)
2 1/2 cups corn Chex (300 calories)
Corn Nuts - two 4-ounce packets (2 2/3 cups = 1040 calories)
1 cup pretzel sticks, broken in half (110 calories/ounce = ~880 calories)
~1 cup cheese crackers (1/2 6.6-ounce bag of Goldfish = 150 calories)
8 ounces unsalted or lightly-salted peanuts (1/2 a bottle ~ 1 1/2 cups = 1360 calories)

2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted (250 calories)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (5 calories)
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (0 calories)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (0 calories)

Combine Chex and peanuts in a large bowl. Melt butter, Worcestershire, chili powder, and garlic powder together. Pour over Chex and peanuts and toss to distribute. (You can use less butter if you concentrate the seasoning mix on the snack elements that aren't flavored on their own.)

In an even larger bowl, toss Chex and peanuts with Corn Nuts, pretzels, etc. Pour into 9 x 13 baking pans (you'll need at least two) and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, four times. Stir the mix around after each 15 minutes. Store in a well-sealed container.
