New Pattern: 2011 March 31

I am still culling the Pattern Collection That Ate Manhattan. I had way too many near-duplicates and patterns that could be improvised from other patterns. I've mostly cut from the 1970's. I kept getting drawn to 1970's patterns even though I don't really want to focus on the 1970's. Doh! I'm back to looking at 1940's patterns.

I took a bit of a detour into the mid-1960's, though, because shirt-dresses can go anywhere.

Butterick 2939 (1964?): Nice, basic, shirt-dress. I love the blue plaid version, especially. This is one that could be worn under sweaters, too. It's nice that there are options for sleeveless, short-sleeved (with adorable cuffs!), and long-sleeved.
