Pictures from the weekend

Listening: Justin Townes Earle, Yuma (2008). Ghost trains and self-serving hipster suicides.

Reading: R. Marie Griffith, Born Again Bodies: Flesh and Spirit in American Christianity,
and Robert Cochran, Singing in Zion: Music and Song in the Life of an Arkansas Family.

The whole family is in town--Dad is back home from Nigeria for two weeks, and my brother and sister-in-law came down from Arkansas (you know you're officially a Gulf Coaster when you consider southern Arkansas to be kind of up north, and places like Tennessee to be practically New England)--so we did a lot of sightseeing this weekend.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll do the expedient thing and let Flickr do the talking.

Beer Can House: Website, Flickr. (Did not allow indoor photography, which is too bad because it has an awesome 1940's kitchen and nice original woodwork.)
