Brazos Bend State Park

Nothing much to post today.  I didn't get any sewing done this weekend.  Friday night through Sunday morning I was camping with friends at Brazos Bend State Park.  It was too hot for alligators--Brazos Bend is known for alligators--despite being only about 90 degrees, moderately humid, and astonishingly un-buggy (this is mild weather for southeast Texas).  We did see loads of squirrels and deer, some nice water birds (white ibis, great egret, little blue heron, pied-billed grebes), dragonflies, and a huge, green, moth.

The four-year-old in our party got story time and made an alligator puppet, and we all got to pet a baby alligator in the visitor's center.
